These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relations between the company The Overview Effect, S.L. with NIF B42826180, domiciled at Edificio Ática 2, Vía de las Dos Castillas, 33, Pozuelo de Alarcón 28224, Madrid, Spain (hereinafter, "Overview", "Syzygy" or the "Organizer"), as organizer of "Syzygy Positive Impact Innovation Festival" (hereinafter, the "Event" or the "Conference") and you, as an attendee by registering for the Event (hereinafter, the "Attendee(s)").
Please read carefully our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy available on the Event registration form, as they include important information about the Event.
The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice, including but not limited to the cancellation, extension, postponement or modification of the same. Likewise, the Event Organizer reserves the right to modify the format of the Event and its programming, as well as to cancel the Event for any reason, such as, for example, lack of registrations of Attendees or other third party issues. If for any reason it is necessary to cancel, postpone or modify the Event, this fact will be published on the Event website and/or an email will be sent to registered attendees.
An updated version of these Terms and Conditions will be permanently available on the official Syzygy Positive Impact Innovation Festival website www.wearesyzygy.com.
Syzygy Positive Impact Innovation Festival 2023, is an international conference of impact experts, companies and institutions that will take place on November 28th in Madrid at a location and time to be communicated to the Attendees.
The Organizer organizes the Conference with the cooperation of individuals, universities, communities and companies.
To register for the Event, the Attendee must confirm that he/she has read, agrees to and will comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Event. Attendance to the Event is free of charge and requires that Attendees are of legal age and have registered for the Event using the form available on the website www.wearesyzygy.com.
The details of the Event Program will be available through the Event Website and will be informed by electronic communications to the Attendees registered for the Event.
The Attendee acknowledges and agrees that the Event Organizer will organize and manage the Event, and will have sole and final authority over all decisions relating to the security, conduct and organization of the Event, its rules, schedules, etc.
SYZYGY Professional Application Positive Impact Innovation Festival
Attendees (including Speakers and Event Sponsors) will be able to access the SYZYGY Positive Impact Innovation Festival SYZYGY App from their devices.
The Syzygy App will allow them to interact with other attendees (including Speakers and Sponsors), among other functionalities, such as consulting schedules or receiving notifications about the Event.
SYZYGY Positive Impact Innovation Festival should be a safe and productive environment for all who participate in it.
If an Attendee's attendance represents a danger, an offense to others, or the behavior or attitude compromises or impedes the normal running of the Event, the Attendee may be suspended from the Event by the Organizer. The Attendee will not be allowed to participate in the Event or any future event organized by or on behalf of The Overview Effect.
We will conduct the sessions in English or Spanish, including written and oral instructions and presentation of speakers and sessions. We recommend that you ensure that your command of spoken English will enable you to enjoy and make good use of the sessions.
By attending the Event, you understand that Overview or third parties attending the Event may take videos and photographs, with general shots of the Event, in order to maintain a graphic memory of the Event, as well as for promotional or informational purposes of the Event on their social networks, such as their own website, LinkedIn or Youtube, among others. In case you do not agree with The Overview Effect's use of your image in connection with the Event, you may contact [email protected].
In the event that you do not agree with the use of your image by a third party in connection with the Event, you should contact the third party directly. Overview is not responsible for any claim, demand or cause of action you may have against any third party for their use of your image in connection with the Event.
In order to comply with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and in the Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights, the information about the treatment, to be carried out by the Organizer, of the personal data of the Attendees, is included in the Privacy Policy that is linked in the registration form to the Event.
The logos, trademarks or trade names displayed on the website, social networks or communications of SYZYGY Positive Impact Innovation Festival are the exclusive property of The Overview Effect, Syzygy Sponsors or third parties. Attendees, are not licensed to use them except with express consent to do so. The Attendee will respond and hold harmless the Organizer, which will not be liable in any case, against third party claims arising or resulting from the violation of Intellectual Property rights and / or Industrial by the Attendee or by third parties when attributable to the Attendee.
In accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, the Attendee acknowledges and accepts that the circumstances relating to the Event may change periodically either by the Organizer or for reasons beyond the Organizer's control, as well as its cancellation, without the Organizer incurring any liability whatsoever and being exempt from any obligation or financial compensation to the Attendees.
The Organizer is exempt in any case of any liability in the event of any error in the data provided by the Attendees that would prevent their identification or communication with him.
If any of the Terms and Conditions, or any of their clauses, is declared null and void by a final decision issued by a competent authority, the remaining Terms and Conditions shall remain in force, without being affected by such declaration of nullity.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of any of the obligations assumed, when due to any type of act, event, failure to exercise, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control ("Force Majeure Cause"). Obligations shall be deemed to be suspended for the period during which the Force Majeure Event continues, and we shall have an extension of time to perform such obligations for a period of time equal to the duration of the Force Majeure Event. We will use all reasonable means to put an end to the Force Majeure Event or to find a solution that will allow us to fulfill our obligations despite the Force Majeure Event.
Registration and attendance to the Event implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, without qualification or condition, as well as any criteria of the Organizer. These Terms and Conditions, as well as the attendance to the Event, are governed by Spanish law. Attendance to the Event implies the express waiver of the Attendees to the jurisdiction that corresponds to them, accepting that the Spanish Courts and Tribunals are competent to resolve any claim.
The Organizer reserves the right to resolve any unforeseen contingency. Therefore, any possible incident arising outside those stipulated in the Terms and Conditions will be resolved by the Event Organizer to the best of its knowledge and judgment.
